Qualifications
Applicants must have a good driving record and the ability to learn to safely operate a 40 foot transit bus. Applicant must be able to establish and maintain courteous, friendly and effective relations with passengers, the public and fellow employees. Must have basic reading, writing and math skills and follow written and oral instructions. Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Applicants must be 21 years of age. A commercial driver’s license is not needed to apply.

Bus Stop Cleaning Crew Member

Essential Functions
Picking up trash from the bus stop pad and the immediate area around the stop; sweeping the bus stop pad; thoroughly removing the trash from the trash can or receptacle; replacing the trash bag in the can or receptacle. Using the power washer to remove dust, dirt, spilled fluids, urine, feces and other undetermined liquids and/or solid waste. Using the graffiti removal aerosol and a rag to remove graffiti. Must be responsive to a change of plans and a break-off route to clean random stops.

Customer Service Representative

Qualifications
Applicants must have a high school diploma/equivalent, a current driver’s license and a minimum of three years customer service experience. Must have the ability to make presentations, good writing skills and be computer literate. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Hours vary; will be scheduled to work 8-hr shifts between 6am-7pm, Monday through Friday, and/or 8am-5pm, Saturday and Sunday with two consecutive days off during the week. Knowledge of Sun Tran’s routes and bilingual preferred due to the high volume of Spanish-speaking callers.

Sun Tran, the local public transportation agency is looking for an experienced Human Resources professional. The Human Resources Director plans, directs, and reviews all activities of the Human Resources department including recruitment/selection, classification, compensation, group benefits, equity and reporting. The Human Resources director also provides management of a staff of six employees located among three locations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience and certifications. At least five years of experience in Human Resources. Preference with employee relations background.
Budget Manager

Description
This position provides budget and finance management, assistance and support to the organization. The budget manager works with the Sun Tran CFO and City of Tucson financial staff in the development of operating and capital budgets.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent and a minimum experience of five years up to and including seven years.
Functions
- Oversees day-to-day accounting activities and business operations in accordance with financial policies and procedures.
- Manages month end and year end closing processes and ensure adjusting entries have been done in alignment with City of Tucson.
- Provides monthly projections and provide support for the annual budget. Develops and administers budgets by creating, preparing, and evaluating budget requests, analyzing operational and financial trends; projecting revenues and expenditures.
- Coordinates budget changes with departments; conducting research on funding service levels; recommending funding and expenditure strategies; and submitting completed budgets to management.
- Manages budgets by monitoring and evaluating expenditures and revenues; preparing financial and budgetary reports for review; compiling and analyzing both financial and operational data; develops organizational cost containment strategies.
- Provides budgetary funding, revenue and expenditure strategies by communicating with CFO and staff to coordinate budget development and oversight. Providing analysis as necessary making recommendations; implementing policies or decisions; and maintaining financial and operational data for historical purposes.
- Completes various accounting functions by analyzing and reconciling various general ledger accounts; providing assistance with month and year end closings; assisting in the tracking and reconciliation of fixed assets; preparing and submitting various reports; providing information as requested; attending special meetings; and completing special projects as assigned.

Streetcar Operator

Qualifications
Applicants must have a high school diploma/equivalent, Associate Degree preferred and one year experience in related field. MUST possess a valid AZ driver’s license, Class B CDL with passenger designation, ability to pass an AZ DOT physical, successfully complete training programs with post-training qualification period, successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, ability to be re-certified periodically on Standard Operating Procedures as well as through examination on all rules and hands-on proficiency, ability to write clear and concise reports and must be available to work weekends, holidays and evening hours.
Functions
Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations; assist passengers with special needs including offering assistance in boarding or de-boarding disabled passengers; provide information to passengers regarding service area; troubleshoot and operate malfunctioning light rail vehicles; operate track switches and provide hand signals or traffic flagging. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and evening hours.
Safety & Security Officer

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; minimum five years of increasingly responsible experience in the safety and security of heavy or light rail systems, including at least three years of supervisory experience; experience in a union environment is a plus. Other related transit experience may be considered.
Job Summary
The Safety & Security Officer performs in a lead role in the Sun Link Streetcar Safety and Security Department within Sun Link and is considered fully functional in all aspects of streetcar operations, safety and security. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day safety and security requirements of Sun Link staff/consultant design engineers, local jurisdictions and other transit agency staff, contracted operators, and affected community and business groups during the planning, design, and implementation of projects that support service delivery related to the safety and security of a streetcar system.
