Sun Van virtual Community Conversation Thursday, August 4th

1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m

You are invited to join Sun Van staff for a conversation about your experience riding Sun Van, using the app, fare changes and more. Spanish and English-speaking staff as well as an ASL interpreter online at either of the two virtual meetings to provide information, answer questions and accept feedback and other transit-related topics.

Attendees will also be invited to fill out a survey about transit fares:

Conversación Comunitaria virtual de Sun Van el 4 de agosto

Está invitado a unirse al personal de Sun Van para conversar sobre su experiencia al viajar en Sun Van, usar la aplicación, cambios de tarifas y más. El personal de habla español e inglés, así como un intérprete de ASL, en línea en cualquiera de las dos reuniones virtuales para brindar información, responder preguntas y aceptar comentarios y otros temas relacionados con el tránsito.

Sun Van is currently a free transit service through December 31, 2022.

Sun Van makes getting around the Tucson area simple for those eligible to ride. Sun Van meets the standards set under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) to provide service for those individuals who, because of their disability, are unable to ride Sun Tran.

Paratransit Eligibility

Individuals are determined to be ADA paratransit eligible with a current ADA Eligibility letter from the City of Tucson ADA Paratransit Eligibility Office. Sun Van does not provide transportation services based on age or social service’s needs.

If you do not have an ADA Eligibility letter, you must apply for one at the City of Tucson’s ADA Eligibility Office. The eligibility evaluation process begins with an application for ADA Paratransit Eligibility Certification and may require contact with the applicants’ references and an in-person assessment of travel skills. Persons determined to be unable to utilize Sun Tran’s services because of their disability will be approved to ride Sun Van.

Paying Paratransit Fares

Fares are collected electronically at the time you reserve your ride. Customers must have a sufficient balance available in their Sun Van account prior to scheduling a trip. Drivers cannot accept cash.
