Sun Tran and The Salvation Army Host School Supplies Stuff-the-Bus!

Sun Tran is teaming up with The Salvation Army Tucson for a Stuff-the-Bus school supply drive on Friday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Walmart, 3435 E. Broadway Boulevard (El Con Center).
This community event invites Tucsonans to help fill a Sun Tran bus with much-needed school supplies for students from elementary through high school. Donations collected will go directly into backpacks that will be distributed at The Salvation Army’s Child Spree event and through outreach programs across Southern Arizona.
“Sun Tran is proud to once again partner with The Salvation Army to support local students and families,” said Mikel Oglesby, Sun Tran General Manager. “Helping fill backpacks with school supplies makes a big difference. We are honored to play a role in bringing smiles to kids’ faces and giving them a strong start to the school year.”
Volunteers will be on-site collecting donations all day. Families are also encouraged to stop by to enjoy a special appearance by the crews from Tucson Fire Department Station 11, with a firetruck on display from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
