PUBLIC COMMENTS SOUGHT ON PLANNED SERVICE CHANGES TO SEVERAL SUN TRAN ROUTES

Español

The City of Tucson and Sun Tran are seeking the public’s feedback on a planned service change to several Sun Tran routes.

Proposed Sun Tran Service Changes to:

Route 1, 2, 5, 8, 10 and 34 – Route adjustments to improve travel time, on time performance, and/or increase overall route productivity.

Routes 3 – Split into two routes at Ronstadt Transit Center (RTC) to better meet passenger needs. The planned change would meet demand of two separate routes with 30-minute service from Ronstadt Transit Center (RTC) to Pima Community College (PCC) West Campus and 30-minute service during mid-day from RTC 0to PCC East Campus.

Routes 11 and 50 – Merge the two routes, creating continuous service on Ajo, between Palo Verde and Mission Road, and Alvernon/Palo Verde from Dodge at River to Tucson International Airport (TIA).

Routes 8 and 25 – Change in weekday frequency to meet ridership demand.

Routes 10, 27 and 29 – Change in nighttime frequency, to standardize, so all routes have a 30 minute and/or 60 minute nighttime frequency reducing wait times for transfers at the transit centers

See detailed information and maps here.
